Bio

Since 2020 Phil Ostheimer has been a PhD candidate at the SeDis (Semantic Disentanglement) group under supervision of Professor Sophie Burkhardt. He joined the group at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and moved with the group to TU Kaiserslautern in November 2020. Before joining the group, Phil worked as a Technical Consultant at RELEX Solutions. He holds a master and bachelor degree in computer science (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz).

Research interests

Phil is interested in probabilistic machine learning methods, especially with applications on text data. Most recently, he is focused on generative models for text data that are based on disentangled representations of style and topic.
