Bio

Matthias Kirchler is a PhD student both at the ML group at TU Kaiserslautern (supervised by Prof. Marius Kloft) and the Digital Health & Machine Learning group at Hasso Plattner Institute (supervised by Prof. Christoph Lippert) in Potsdam. He holds both a master's and bachelor's degree in Mathematics (HU Berlin and WWU Münster).

Research interests

Matthias Kirchler's main interest lies in leveraging modern machine learning techniques to better understand complex biomedical data. This involves work on developing statistical hypothesis tests for multi-modal imaging-genetics, as well as explainable AI techniques on imaging data.
